ISTQB exams can be stressful, but here are a few ISTQB exam registration and scheduling tips to take away some of that stress!

First, let’s talk about the registering and scheduling aspects of our ISTQB exams. These are the basic steps you need to follow before your ISTQB exam. Do them in advance of your ISTQB exam to make sure there are no issues when you take your exam.

Preparing for an ISTQB Exam from ASTQB

  1. Plan and schedule your ISTQB exam day well in advance. If you want a specific time and day for your exam, purchase your voucher and schedule your exam early. It is much harder to get a specific day and time if you schedule at the last minute.
  2. If you are taking an online proctored exam, download and install the software right after you have scheduled your exam. If you find there are installation issues, this will give your ample time to contact support to get the installation set up correctly. No one wants the added stress of technical issues on the day of their exam!
  3. Make sure the name on your account matches your ID exactly. The proctor will be comparing your photo ID to the name on your account.
  4. If you are taking an online proctored ISTQB exam, make sure your testing area is clear of anything that is not allowed during the exam. Also, note that no one else can be in the room starting from the time you first check-in with the proctor.
