Certainly, there are many entry-level testing jobs in the U.S. that request ISTQB Certification. However, most jobs currently requesting ISTQB Certification in the U.S. are for mid-level and senior-level software QA positions currently!

What does this mean for you?

If you want a software QA job, get ISTQB certified.
If you want to get promoted, continue to ISTQB Advanced Level and ISTQB Specialty certifications, especially the ISTQB Agile Tester.
