Job postings requesting ISTQB Certification hit another record high this week. We wondered: Are these jobs mostly for entry-level positions?

You might be surprised by the answer!

Certainly, there are many entry-level testing jobs in the U.S. that request ISTQB Certification. However, most jobs currently requesting ISTQB Certification in the U.S. are for mid-level and senior-level software QA positions!

What does this mean for you?

If you want a software QA job, get ISTQB certified.
If you want to get promoted, continue to ISTQB Advanced Level and ISTQB Specialty certifications. (This explains why ISTQB Technical Test Analyst is officially "In Demand" in the U.S. – see the article below!)

In either case, be sure to register for your ISTQB exam through ASTQB and our official ISTQB exam provider AT*SQA. Only ASTQB and AT*SQA can add you to both the Official U.S. List, as well as the ISTQB successful candidate register.
