Due to the stay-at-home orders associated with the COVID-19 crisis, ISTQB is allowing for online, remote-proctored ISTQB exams beginning April 27th (Brussels, Belgium time), which translates to 6:00 p.m. EDT this Sunday, April 26th in the U.S.
This is a pilot program that runs through October 23rd at 6:00 p.m. EDT. That means you must have not only registered but actually taken your online exam by that date and time.
There are strict security guidelines associated with the online version of the exam, so be sure to review the ISTQB Online Exams FAQ and technical requirements on the AT*SQA website before taking the exam.
If you have already purchased a voucher for an exam center, don't worry, you will be able to switch to an online exam, but you must cancel your testing center exam first. Remember to cancel your scheduled testing center exam 72 hours in advance of its date/time or you will incur a $75 fee.
Keep in mind that the earliest you can register for an online ISTQB exam is 6:00 p.m. EDT on Sunday, so no action is required at this moment.
