Record Job Postings and a New Trend:
More Certifications Requested
U.S. employers are posting jobs requesting ISTQB certification in record numbers, and we noticed a new trend. Most jobs previously asked for "ISTQB Certification". Now many are asking for additional, specific ISTQB certifications. For example:
"ISTQB Foundation Level, ISTQB Agile Tester, ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, ISTQB Expert Level"
"ISTQB: Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), Certified Tester Advanced Test Manager (CTAL-TM), Certified Tester Advanced Test Analyst (CTAL-TA), Certified Tester Advanced Technical Test Analyst (CTAL-TM), Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer (CTAL-TAE)"
"ISTQB Certification in Performance Testing"
This reflects the trend we are seeing in ISTQB exam registration through ASTQB (ISTQB in the U.S.) and our official ISTQB exam provider AT*SQA. Those who test software – full-time or part-time – are realizing that Foundation Level is just the start, not the end goal.
That makes sense. Imagine building a house: you wouldn't stop after pouring the foundation. You need to add walls, windows, doors, and a roof! That's why employers are making it clear: Skilled testers should have more than just ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
So if you have ISTQB Foundation Level Certification, congratulations! It sets you apart as a dedicated professional in software quality. But it's just the first step in your testing career path that can take you higher and higher!
