Users and CEOs as key sources of bug reports?

This Demonstrates How Important You Are

TechRepublic recently reported that "Developers are facing burnout after spending too long hunting bugs in code."

The most interesting part of the article was how these developers were learning about errors:
  • 62% found out about errors from users reporting through the app
  • 25% heard about errors from users sharing these issues on social media
  • 21% heard about errors from their CEO
Interestingly, the article didn't mention testing. However, the solution seems straightforward: Quality software development needs certified software testing professionals like you.

By the way, burnout wasn't the biggest issue. 26% of developers also reported that their employers had lost "a significant number" of users due to errors in the software.

If this sounds familiar, we have a helpful resource. It's a free white paper entitled "4 Reasons Software Developers Should Pair with a Certified Software Tester." Download and share it with management - it's a great way to point out the value of software testers like you!
